The Windows desktop and quick launch feature, even though they offer an efficient way of opening files and applications, are still not good enough for the average user who works with a lot of files on a daily basis. That's because the desktop or quick access bar can get full in very little time, making it very difficult to find a certain program icon.

Fortunately, there are additional applications which can help you in such a situation. Gomigo 8 is one of them. This Windows program allows you to access your desired files in a much simpler way than using the Windows desktop or quick launch bar, as it adds an interface with squares over your desktop, on which you can add a file in each square. Thus, your desktop will never get crowded and you will be able to find your files in no time.

After installing the program, the user will need to register the application using his email address and then enter a code which is sent to his address. At this point, the program's interface will be displayed on the screen and the user will be able to add several files to it just by clicking inside any empty square.

In the bottom part of the interface, the user can organize various virtual folders, in which he can store the desired program shortcuts. Thus, he will be able to create shortcuts for a very large number of files and programs, even if using a smaller monitor. A feature which makes this program different from other similar applications is the possibility to drag items and background images over the interface of Gomigo, thus allowing you to save a lot of time and effort. What's more, it allows you to link documents, Internet pages and even directories.

In case every column available in the application has been used, the user can easily scroll using the mouse wheel, for finding a desired item fast.

The theme or skin of the program's interface can be changed, by selecting one of the 3 themes available or by creating a new one, using the user's desired colors.
